An affectionate portrait of favourite birds in words, music, art & interactive audio – scan the pages with your phone camera to hear a tune and poem every month.
The UK, despite being a relatively small island, is absolutely alive with an abundance of birdlife. They soar around our cliffs and our beaches, and birdsong can be heard all over our fields and gardens, our towns and cities. This labour of love – two years of poetry, text, music and art in the making – has developed from a tiny wren’s egg to an enormous red kite, weighty and many hued. Along the way it has grown wings and persuaded us all to fall in love with it. We sincerely hope that on reading and perhaps listening to it, your senses take flight too!
Music by Miggins Fiddle (Marina Dodgson & Maurice Condie). Poetry by Harry Gallagher. Paintings by Bridget Gallagher.
