An Evening With...
We are delighted to welcome some of the North East’s finest folk musicians into the studio for an online evening event. There will be time for guests to perform some solo material, and they will also lead a tunes session with us – so bring your instruments to join in from home!
These are open access events on Zoom. The joining codes are below, and there is no need to book in advance. Please pay as you feel, or can afford, using our Tip Jar on the right.

Upcoming Events
Joey Oliver
Sunday 10th December 2023, 7pm – 8.30pm.
Joey Oliver is a fine whistle player with a deep knowledge of Northumbrian music, along with Irish whistle styles. He is a member of the ground-breaking ceilidh band 422, and is an experienced performer, tutor and dance caller.

Alex Wade
Sunday 14th January 2024, 7pm – 8.30pm.
Alex Wade is an English concertina player and teacher based in Northumberland. Renowned for her dynamic and energetic playing style, she is also a professional music educator, with a wealth of teaching experience, and is in demand as a workshop leader across the UK and abroad.
“If you have heard Alex play, you will join many elite musicians in enjoying the life and danceability she brings her interpretations of traditional music”.
The evening will be a mix of solo performance by Alex and session tunes to join in with from home. Sheet music for the session part of the evening will be available to download here a week or two before the event.
Stewart Hardy
Sunday 11th February 2024, 7pm – 8.30pm.
Stewart Hardy is an internationally-acclaimed performer, composer and teacher with numerous recordings and broadcast credits to his name. Based in the North East of England, a love for the traditional music of Northumberland and Scotland shines through his repertoire and influences his own compositions.
