Bertie Armstrong (Holly & The Reivers) and Niles Krieger (The Often Herd) combine banjo, fiddle and voices to create a timeless sound, steeped in old-time tradition but with a contemporary twist. Their original material sits effortlessly alongside centuries-old songs and tunes from Appalachia, Tyneside, Wales and beyond – a confluence of all of their influences, unified by their sensitive arrangements and subtly breathtaking musicianship.
