We are delighted to welcome some of the North East’s finest folk musicians into the studio for an online evening event. There will be time for guests to perform some solo material, and they will also lead a tunes session with us – so bring your instruments to join in from home! Sheet music will be available in advance via our website.

Roy Hugman is a traditional musician/composer and acknowledged exponent of the tremolo-harmonica in solo, session and dance band settings. Roy’s truly at home making music with friends in village halls, yet his quietly growing reputation led him to a debut performance international concert and to leading workshops for Harmonica UK.

On composing, Roy says the greatest compliment he receives is that his music conveys a ‘sense of place’. Whether that’s the moody North Sea; tranquil Coquetdale; celtic Lindisfarne, or Roy’s music for worship; it’s all there to explore!
