Phoenix Folk Tune Skeletons – Jigs Collection 1

This e-book contains simplified versions of 46 reels, hornpipes and jigs, many of which are popular session tunes, arranged into 23 tune sets. At the time of writing, we play all of these tunes, in these sets, in our Online Sessions.

The tune skeletons in this book are designed to make it easier for people to join in with session tunes, especially at faster tempos. Players are often advised to miss notes out in order to keep up, but this can be difficult to do ‘on the fly’ and the overall success of this approach depends on which notes are retained and which are removed. The tune skeletons in this book provide a notated solution.

This download includes 50 mp3 files – each tune or tune set played with and without the simplified version.
